NEW YORK — Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has unveiled a new video ad that promises the future of its retail business and highlights its commitment to sustainability.
The ad, titled “Walgreens’ Promise: A Wal-mart Promise,” highlights the company’s commitment to “reinventing our entire retail experience.”
It features two images of Walmart, one with a logo and the other without.
“Walgensons Promise: You’ll always have a great Wal-marts experience and a safe and secure shopping experience,” the video’s narrator says.
The video shows a new product that has been designed with environmental concerns in mind.
The product is the Wal-Marts Green Card, a green card that lets people live, work and travel anywhere in the world without a visa or passport.
“We don’t want to sell products that have a negative impact on the environment, but we want to create the best product for the environment,” said Paul Hsieh, the senior vice president of retail at Wal-Brandeis.
The product is made with 100% recycled materials and is the first in a series of products designed to help Wal-Marcks customers be more environmentally friendly.
The new ad also features images of the company in different parts of the world, including one in Germany.
The company said in a news release that the ads have become a “major success” and are expected to be featured on TV and online in the coming weeks.
The brand said it will continue to invest in its environment through a variety of initiatives including a program to donate 50% of its products to environmental groups.
